Nine local athletes are among those set to be honoured next month with 2012 BC Athletics Junior Development awards of excellence.

Seven members of the Langley Mustangs Track and Field Club were on the list of recipients, who will receive their awards at the Junior Development annual awards banquet on Oct. 28 at Vancouver's Croatian Cultural Centre.

Two others are from Langley but compete with other clubs.

The Mustangs' list includes Hannah Rolfe (1998), Megan Champoux (1999), Lauryn Cheung (1999), Tanika Dolfo (1999), Natalia Monro (2001), Teagan Richardson (2001) and Holly Harrison (2002).

Two other local athletes, Vaughan Taylor (2000) and Braedon Hutchinson (2001) will also be honoured with awards.

Hutchinson is with the South Fraser Track Club while Taylor is with Universal Athletics.
