The Langley Figure Skating Club used home-ice to their advantage in capturing a pair of medals.
The club was competing at the Skate Canada mountain regional synchronized skating championships Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 at the George Preston Recreation Centre.
The club’s junior team — performing a disco theme — won gold in the elementary division. The team of eight skaters is between the ages of seven and 12.
And the LFSC senior team won bronze in the pre-novice division. The team of eight skaters, between the ages of 13 and 16, skated to ‘Shattered.’
The club has one more competition at the end of this month.
