Langley pair playing for Canada

Langley Rams receiver K.J. Johnson and UBC defensive lineman Connor Griffiths off to China with Canadian junior national football team

A pair of local football players are representing Canada.

Connor Griffiths, a defensive lineman from UBC, and K.J. Johnson, a wide receiver with the Langley Rams, are on the roster announced by Football Canada.

The junior national team is competing at the 2016 International Federation of American Football (IFAF) U19 world championships, which run June 28 to July 10 in Harbin, China.

Prior to joining UBC, Griffiths attended Langley Secondary and played for the Langley midget Stampeders.

Johnson, who is from Surrey, played his high school football for Lord Tweedsmuir.
