Luke Stewart-Beinder used home-pool advantage, winning seven of his eight events.

Swimming in the 11 and under division, the 11-year-old dominated his events as the Langley Olympians Swim Club hosted their 10th annual LOSC Invitational at the Walnut Grove Aquatic Centre.

The meet featured 14 swim clubs and 300 swimmers from across the province.

Stewart-Beinder won in the 400 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 100 butterfly, 200 individual medley, 400 individual medley, 200 freestyle and 200 butterfly events.

In addition to Stewart-Beinder’s performance, two other members of the Olympians achieved new time standards for the provincial championships.

Isobel McNeill, 10, qualified for the BC AAA championships in three events while Alicia Schmelcher, 10, achieved five new BC AA championship times.

Bailey Herbert, 14, also set a new club record in the 400m freestyle.

Altogether, Langley swimmers won 24 gold medals.

Bailey Herbert (girls 14 and over) gold in 400 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 200 individual medley, 100 freestyle and 400 individual medley.

Joshua Kim (boys 14 and over) gold in 20 breaststroke, 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke.

Hugh McNeill (boys 12/13) gold in 100 backstroke, 200 individual medley and 200 backstroke.

Isobel McNeill (girls 11 and under) gold in 200 individual medley, 400 individual medley and 200 backstroke.

Piyush Kaul (boys 11 and under) gold in 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke.

Josie Field (girls 14 and over) gold in 200 butterfly.
