The Langley Thunder are still searching for their first win after dropping a 6-4 overtime decision to the Burnaby Lakers.
The senior A Thunder hosted the Lakers on May 23 at the Langley Events Centre.
Langley, the defending Western Lacrosse Association champions, rallied back from an early deficit to force overtime, but could not complete the comeback, surrendering the only two goals of the 10-minute overtime period.
The Thunder dropped to 0-2 on the season while Burnaby improved to 1-1.
The Lakers jumped ahead 2-0 early in first and took a 3-2 lead into intermission.
The teams traded goals in the second before Joel McCready tied the score at four early in the third.
Athan Iannucci and Alex Turner both had a goal and an assist while Ryan McMichael had the other goal.
Brett Hickey and Garrett Billings each had an assist.
Neither team's power play proved very effective as Burnaby was 1-for-11 and Langley 0-for-7, including a crucial two-minute two-man advantage in the third period with the score tied.
The Lakers also finished with a huge advantage in the shots department, firing 53 on the Thunder goal compared to Langley's 32.
The Thunder are next in action on May 30 when they host the Nanaimo Timbermen at the LEC. Game time is 7 p.m.
