The Langley Thunder will be out to snap a two-game slide Wednesday, July 9, when they host the Burnaby Lakers at the Langley Events Centre.

Game time is 7:45 p.m.

The Thunder had a tough weekend on Vancouver Island, losing 12-6 to the Victoria Shamrocks on Friday and 15-12 to the Nanaimo Timbermen on Saturday.

The losses drop the Thunder’s record to 6-7. Langley’s senior A squad is in a two-way tie with the Lakers (6-5) for third place in the seven-team WLA.

Going into the weekend, the Thunder were riding a two-game win streak and had won six of their past eight games.

The Thunder continue to be led by their leading scorer, Alex Turner, who has racked up 25 goals and 56 points in 13 games.
