Award winning Langley Times sports reporter Gary Ahuja has won the Paul Carson Broadcast & Media Award in the category of community sports writing.
The Paul Carson awards recognize excellence in sport broadcasting and journalism in Vancouver.
The awards were presented last week (May 26).
There were numerous categories including best Vancouver sports reporter, best radio sports reporter, anchor and columnist.
This was the first year for the community sports writing category.

Ahuja also won the bronze medal for sports writing at the Ma Murray Community Newspaper Awards earlier in May for his story Remembering Ryan.
Ahuja has been covering the Langley sports scene since 2003.
