Aldergrove Kodiaks' Spencer McHaffie (#93) scored a hat trick plus one, with assists on all four by his twin brother Scott (#97) and Darcy Rai (#10), in a 9-3 blowout of the Port Moody Black Panthers, Sept. 26 at Aldergrove Arena.

Spencer McHaffie scored four goals as the Aldergrove Kodiaks routed the Port Moody Panthers 9-3.

McHaffie and his line-mates were all over the Panthers, as twin brother Scott McHaffie had four assists and Darcy Rai set up five goals in the junior B hockey game on Sept. 26 at Aldergrove Arena.

The game was pretty much over thanks to three goals in 46 seconds in the first period by Aldergrove.

The Kodiaks led 4-0 at one point before the Panthers scored a pair of power-play  goals late in the period to make it 4-2.

But Aldergrove scored three times in the second and then twice more in the third before Port Moody had the final goal of the game.

Brandon Dolby, Jean-Phillip Bouchard, Jackson Wanick and Stefan Gonzales had the other Kodiak goals while Brendan Sharp made 30 saves for the victory.

For Port Moody, Martin Campbell scored twice and Vitalik Morozov had the other goal.

The victory snaps a three-game losing streak for the Kodiaks and they improved to 2-3-0 in the Pacific Junior Hockey League.

Next up for Aldergrove is a road game at Maple Ridge's Planet Ice against the Ridge Meadows Flames on Sept. 28.

The next home game is Oct. 3 at the Aldergrove Arena versus the Abbotsford Pilots.
