The road woes continue for the Langley Thunder.
The senior A lacrosse squad dropped a 12-8 decision to the league-leading New Westminster Salmonbellies on Thursday night in New Westminster, snapping Langley's four-game winning streak.
The Thunder remain winless as the visitors in Western Lacrosse Association play at 0-5-1. But at the Langley Events Centre, the team is a sparkling 6-1.
The Salmonbellies led from start to finish in the game, scoring the game's first three goals and leading 5-2 after one period.
Over the final 40 minutes, the Thunder kept things close, but were still outscored 7-6.
Andrew Potter had two goals and an assist and Kyle McEwen chipped in with a pair of goals. Kyle Belton added four assists.
Dan Williams, Patrick Saunders, Sean Messenger and Alex Turner had a goal apiece.
Langley will look to correct their road woes with a pair of games on Vancouver Island.
The team travels to Victoria (7-4-1) on July 15 and then plays in Nanaimo (4-5-2) on July 16.
Langley holds third spot in the seven-team WLA standings with 13 points.
