A first-half tally was the game’s only goal and all that the Walnut Grove Gators needed.

The Gators defeated the Mountain Eagles 1-0 on Monday afternoon at Willoughby Community Park in Fraser Valley senior girls AAA soccer action.

The win improved Walnut Grove to 4-2-0 while Mountain fell to 1-4-1 in East Zone league play.

The regular season wraps up May 2 with the Fraser Valley championships slated to begin next week.
