Trinity Western Spartans’ Elijah Adekugbe was named a Canada West first team all-star.
The third-year midfielder led the men’s soccer team with six goals and six assists in 15 games, including a pair of game-winners as the Spartans went 9-5-2 during the regular season.
The all-star and conference award winners were announced on Nov. 3 ahead of the Canada West Final Four championships in Edmonton.
The Spartans face the host Alberta Golden Bears in one semifinal on Saturday while the UBC Thunderbirds and Calgary Dinos battle in the other.
The top two teams will advance to the CIS national championships.
