The Vancouver Stealth have rounded out their coaching staff for 2015 with the addition of Kaleb Toth.
Toth played for 13 seasons in the National Lacrosse League — 11 seasons with the Calgary Roughnecks and a pair with the Toronto Rock — and coaches in the Western Lacrosse Association with the Nanaimo Timbermen.
He served as a scout for Calgary this past season.
Toth will serve as the offensive coach, the role previously held by new head coach Dan Perreault. Perreault ascended to the main job after the sudden departure of Chris Hall for health reasons.
Toth won three Champion's Cup during his playing career and four times made the NLL all-star team. He finished his career with 346 goals and 723 points.
He has also won a Minto (junior A) Cup championship, two Mann (senior A) Cup championships and a world indoor championship with Team Canada.
"Kaleb is a winner, pure and simple, and we are excited to have him join our organization," said Stealth president and general manager Doug Locker.
Last week, Toth was also announced as one of five nominees for the NLL Hall of Fame.
Toth said he is grateful for the chance to coach a team with such a winning tradition.
"I'm excited to bring my leadership on winning teams to help deliver the Champion's Cup to Vancouver," Toth said.
"Kaleb has had a great playing career and is a respected coach in the Western Lacrosse Association," Perreault said.
"I'm very excited to have him join our staff, as he truly understands today's game. He will bring a dynamic, energetic, creative element to our bench."
The Stealth also announced they are bringing back assistant Art Webster for his ninth season in the organization and assistant Dan Evans, who enters his sixth years.
Director of player development Kevin Alexander will remain with the club in an expanded role to assist Toth with the offence.
And Clay Richardson, an assistant with the New Westminster junior A squad, will join the Stealth as their advance scout.
"I feel very fortunate to have a well-rounded staff with both significant playing and coaching experience to our organization," Perreault said.
"It's an exciting time and I'm looking forward to getting things underway."
