Stuart helps Wild win Cup

Langley's Brodi Stuart on winning team at U16 B.C. Cup competition in Salmon Arm

Brodi Stuart helped Team Wild win the B.C. Cup over the weekend in Salmon Arm.

Stuart was one of five local hockey players who were selected to play  in the U16 boys’ hockey tournament, which began April 22 and wrapped up on Sunday (April 26).

The Wild defeated Team Flyers 7-2 in the championship game.

And Stuart was among a handful of Langley players selected to play in the event.

Goaltender Maguire Houlind was on Team Penguins, while forward Brendan Budy and defenceman Bobby Russell were on Team Sabres.

And Aldergrove goaltender Jordan Naylor was on Team Bruins.

The Penguins defeated the Stars 5-3 in the bronze medal game while the Sabres needed overtime to defeat the Bruins in the fifth-place game.
