Thunderbirds earn road split

Fraser Valley recovers after tough first game in Prince George

After not having their legs for game one, the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds bounced back to earn the split against the Cariboo Cougars in B.C. Major Midget Hockey League action.

The Thunderbirds went to Prince George and showed tired legs on Saturday, losing 4-1 with Kyle Davis netting the lone goal. The score would have been even more one-sided if not for the efforts of T-Birds’ goalie Paul Tucek.

But Sunday was a different story as the Fraser Valley offence came to life in a 5-4 win. Davis, Kaelen Anderson, Mackenzie Wight, Matthew Dyck and Justin Plett scored while Jordan Naylor picked up the win between the pipes.
