Brooklyn Foster drove in three runs, Scott Webster belted a two-run blast and Jesse Peters struck out seven over six innings as the Langley Senior Blaze stretched their lead atop the Pacific International League standings.

The senior men's baseball team — made up of Fraser Valley players home for the summer from their college and university teams — improved to 8-1 with their third straight victory.

The Blaze were hosting the Coquitlam Angels at McLeod Park.

Langley led 1-0 after two innings but  broke the game open in the bottom of the third inning with a two-run single from Foster and then the two-run home run from Webster.

That offence was more than enough for Peters, who allowed just the one run.

Ryan Eiswerth pitched the seventh inning.

Lead-off hitter Mike Krische also had a solid game going 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored and a RBI.
