A day of tattooing netted $4,450 for sick kids, and a commitment from parlour owner Rob McGill to try it all again next Halloween.
The team at Forever Inked Tattoos in Willowbrook spent Saturday hosting a Spooktattoolar Halloween fundraiser for the BC Children’s Hospital.
Customers could select from pre-drawn tattoo designs, and for a minimum $60 donation to the charity, they would get a tattoo.
Spending anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes on each, the artists tattooed 47 people. On a normal day, the team creates between three and eight tattoos a day.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in our Spooktattoolar Halloween flash event with all proceeds going to BCCHF. A special shout out to Jason Hopes, Jolene Harrison, Zach Orchard for their no-stop, marathon tattooing, and Miranda Ashley for her amazing organizational and customer service skills that kept it all flowing smooth. And lets not forget my wife, Angie, for her help, support, and great baking,” McGill said.
