VIDEO: A Florida win along with a podium appearance for Langley’s Tiffany Foster

Two events in two days for champion rider

One day after Langley’s Tiffany Foster finished a strong second in the $62,500 LeMieux Winning Round, the top-ranked rider placed first in the $97,000 The Estates at TerraNova.

Foster and Brighton, a 18-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Langley’s Artisan Farms, led the TerraNova event from beginning to end, posting a wining time of 41.20 seconds on Saturday, March 23 at the Florida event.

“I’m very proud of him, we have been together for 11 years so it’s a well-formed partnership,” Foster told the Langley Advance Times.

“He’s 18 years old now so I try to space out his competitions and pick places where I think he has a good shot of winning. He’s an extremely intelligent and competitive horse and I feel so grateful to have him to ride from his wonderful owners (Artisan Farms and the Ziegler Family). He is a horse of a lifetime!”

“Thanks Brighty,” an online post from Artisan Farms said.

“We can’t thank Brighton enough for all he has given us, he’s the best, and we just love him so much . Thank you to everyone involved in his success.”

It was Foster’s first appearance at TerraNova, located in Myakka City, near Sarasota.

The win followed a Friday, March 22nd appearance by Foster and nine-year-old Kadans, a warmblood Dutch gelding also owned by Artisan, at another top Florida event, the $62,500 class at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala.

Foster was the only rider to jump clear in both the opening round and the winning round to take second with a time of 45.78 seconds.

Ireland’s Cian O’Connor and Fermoy were first.
