Young Langley women given upclose look at Canadian politics

To mark International Women's Day today, 40-plus young women from across the country are in Ottawa.

Langley is represented by two young women today in Ottawa

Two young Langley ladies are in Ottawa today, as part of a new campaign called Daughters of the Vote.

Keara Graham and Jessica Jahn will meet with their MPs today, get a chance to sit in their chairs in the House, and even attend question period.

Graham (left) representing the Langley-Aldergrove riding.

She’s a human kinetics student at TWU who is passionate about advancing reconciliation between Canada’s indigenous and non-indigenous people.

She also helps provide ministry to female prison inmates.

Jahn, (right) is representing the Surrey-Langley City riding.

She’s criminal justice student at the University of the Fraser Valley, and she’s an active volunteer.

She says she’s passionate about improving access to justice, strengthening youth resiliency, and preventing violence against women.
