Aldergrove Rotary Club members have joined forces with Rotarians from the three other Rotary Clubs in town to once again present a big charity fundraiser that could see $200,000 in one lucky winners pocket before the summer is over.
The four Rotary Club of Langley are once again holding a 50/50 raffle – which they’ve dubbed the Rotary Mega Draw.
In addition to selling tickets online, at https://langleyrotarymegadraw.com, the clubs will also be selling tickets throughout the summer at various locations.
Two locations will be set up throughout the summer at the Save-On-Foods in Willowbrook and Walnut Grove.
The raffle will culminate with ticket sales at the popular Rotary Rib Fest, which takes place this year at McLeod Athletic Park from Aug. 18 to 20.
While the deadline to buy is Aug. 20, or sooner if all 27,720 tickets are sold, the draw will be made at noon on Aug. 30.
Last year’s winner claimed a prize of $142,900.
This year a lucky winner could win up to $200,000, said Rotarian Lilianne Fuller, who won the $125,000 pot in 2021.
“This is one of the Rotary Clubs biggest fundraiser with money being poured back into the community. Rotary Clubs of Langley support Langley Memorial Hospital, Ishtar Transition Housing Society, the Langley Food Bank, Langley hospice, and many more,” she said.
“By purchasing tickets to the Langley Rotary Mega 50/50 Draw, you will be contributing greatly to the positive future of people in need.”
Tickets are selling for $20 each, three for $50, or eight for $100.
